Ron Paul Number 1 on Amazon
Ron Paul’s loyal supporters helped him set campaign fundraising records and capture more delegates during his presidential run than some of his high-profile Republican rivals. They even managed to briefly shut down Nevada’s GOP convention earlier this month over a rules change controversy.
Now they’ve taken his latest book to the top of the Amazon.com bestseller list.
“The Revolution: A Manifesto”, released earlier this month, is currently No. 1 on the Web site’s list of top sellers, besting even Oprah’s latest Book Club selection.
“Despite a media blackout, this septuagenarian physician-turned-congressman sparked a movement that has attracted a legion of young, dedicated, enthusiastic supporters . . . a phenomenon that has amazed veteran political observers and made more than one political rival envious,” boasts the book’s product description, adding: “Candidates across America are already running as ‘Ron Paul Republicans.’”
Here is an interesting quote about the above mentioned GOP walkout at the Nevada GOP State Convention from the Reno Gazette Journal:
Paul spokesman Jeff Greenspan said the walkout was a first in his 21-year career in politics.
"I've seen factions walk out, I've never seen a party walk out," he said. "I've never even heard of that."

Clinton Wins and Ron Paul Surges in Pennsylvania
While some people pay attention to the alleged contest between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (and she won big), almost unnoticed is the Republican primary.
Many people think Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain has won the GOP nomination.
Actually, he has. A long time ago.
But Texas Rep. Ron Paul's revolutionaries continue to plug away. With 45% of Pennsylvania's 9,268 precincts reporting, Paul has captured 15% of the vote. He's easily beating former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who has only 12%.
Two things will moderate joy in the Paul camp. One, Huckabee suspended his campaign and stopped campaigning weeks ago. Yet, he's still getting 12%. And second, McCain is capturing 73% of the GOP vote -- which was apparently reduced by some thousands of Republicans who changed their registration to vote Democratic for Clinton, as ordered by their leader, Rush Limbaugh, to promote further prolonged feuding among Democrats.
On the other hand, Paul will point out, McCain has already won the party's top ticket spot and yet is drawing only 3 out of 4 Republican ballots.

Everyday is April Fool's Day During Election Season
On another note, Butler Shaffer over at LRC wrote an interesting little bit today about April Fools Day, called "A National Holiday?".
I believe that general elections - particularly presidential and congressional ones - should be held on April 1st: All Fools Day. What more meaningful date on which to allow Boobus Americanus to indulge himself in the illusion that his opinions really matter?

Mike Gravel Joins the Libertarian Party, Hopes to Win Party's Nomination for President
LP.org
Former Senator and 2008 Democratic Presidential candidate Mike Gravel has announced he is leaving the democratic party and joining up with the fastest growing political party in America, The Libertarian Party.
"I'm joining the Libertarian Party because it is a party that combines a commitment to freedom and peace that can't be found in the two major parties that control the government and politics of America," says Gravel. "My libertarian views, as well as my strong stance against war, the military industrial complex and American imperialism, seem not to be tolerated by Democratic Party elites who are out of touch with the average American; elites that reject the empowerment of American citizens I offered to the Democratic Party at the beginning of this presidential campaign with the National Initiative for Democracy." -Mike Gravel

Jim Rogers Calls for Bernanke's Resignation, Abolishment of FED on CNBC
Top investor Jim Rogers has publicly called for Federal Reserve chaiman Ben Bernanke to resign, blaming him for destroying the dollar and bailing out his friends on Wall Street at the cost of the American taxpayer, in the latest savage attack on the Fed amidst the latest round of economic turmoil.
"I think the Fed should be abolished, we'd all be better off without the Fed....in my view their day is done," said Rogers during an appearance on CNBC yesterday.
