CHEERS to John Edwards. A striking new CNN/Opinion Research poll shows that the populist candidate would pummel the Republicans hardest in 2008. Hey, I've got an idea for the traditional media. I know it's a little crazy, but hear me out. I think you guys should start covering his campaign again! Give it a whirl---it might lead to, like, journalism or something.

Yup. It's pretty amazing how well he does in match-ups, and how the traditional media still insists on NOT covering his campaign.
It's still a statistical tie in Iowa, more or less, but Edwards DESTROYS the other candidates when it comes to "2nd choice" so all those Biden and Kucinich and Gravel and Dodd folks have to go somewhere when their guys doesn't get 15%, and it's likely to be Edwards.
A 2nd place finish for him would be tantamount to a win, considering the Hillary / Obama expectations. But hell, he could still pull it out with the top spot and really shake shit up.

Plus, with Clinton going into smear mode (whisper campaign about Obama's past drug use), and Obama starting to find his teeth, those two may tear each other down, as Gephardt and Dean did on 04, making way for Edwards to take 1st, and leaving Hillary to find her Scream. BWYEAEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
