Congressman Admits They Were Threatened with Martial Law for a "No" Vote on Bailout Plan

Rep. Brad Sherman (D) from California illustrates how members of Congress were threatened with Martial Law for not voting for HR 3997, better known as the "Bailout Bill".

George Washington's Blog
has a good post on how threatening martial law is no different than having it.

The Sort Of Not Really "Impeachment" Hearings

Okay I admit I watched pretty much all of this hearing today. There were some good moments of truth with testimonies from people like Vincent Bugliosi, author of "The Prosecution of George W. Bush For Murder". Here's a clip of Bugliosi's opening statement. Note how, who I assume is the ranking Republican member on the committee, get all flustered with the applause and people taking too much time. It's almost sad how desperate he looks trying to keep people from hearing the truth.

This video is from Raw Story viaCNN.com, broadcast July 25, 2008.

The Torture Memo Twins Get Their Congressional Hearings

John Yoo and David Addington the authors of the infamous torture memos were "grilled" by Congress yesterday and I think its time to cut to the chase and put these guys in jail right now. These guys are sick and twisted, saying that the president can torture children for the sake of "national security". Watch them spin around and around and never answer the question, like the professional liars they are. I don't know which is worse, their answers or the fact that the congress members aren't jumping up and down yelling and screaming at these criminals.

Ron Paul on Iran and Energy on the House Floor

Too bad nobody listens. Because this is the fuckin' truth.
These bastards are going to go to war with Iran no matter what.

Al Sharpton Totally "Outs" Anderson Cooper On Cnn

Okay, no big surprise here. I don't mean to get all "TMZ" on you here but who cares what Anderson Cooper does in his own privacy? I don't. He's supposed to recite unimportant and distracting news stories.

But its National Irony Day. Hooray! Did you buy your ham yet? Good...cause this one's as good as having an extra bowl of potato salad in the fridge.

Al Sharpton, who is supposed to be the champion of anti-discrimination and civil rights, decides its time to bash Anderson Cooper for being gay. Well, he never actually said it, but, come on....watch the clip and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Ah...... Got to love the religious nutjobs on both sides of the political spectrum. The irony is truly breathtaking these days. I love how Sharpton can get away with comments like that to someone on a supposed "news" channel. How is that fucking reporting the "news"? Telling them their going to hell? What the fuck is that shit. The discourse in this country has been hijacked by retards. Oh wait I forgot...right...National Irony Day.

Fuck it, let's have some cake.

And enjoy the clip of Sharpton, Tony Perkins (9 time recipient of the Christo-Facsist Endowment award), and everybody's favorite agreeable last minute fill in, Roland Martin:

America Loses Its Modern Day Mark Twain: RIP George Carlin

Carlin was one of my all time favorites. He spoke such truth so eloquently. He had his finger on the pulse of what has been fucking America up for decades. Rest in peace, my man. You were a true inspiration to many of us.

Here is one of Carlin's sidetrack rants that, once again, showed us that he wasn't afraid to tell you exactly how it is.

Olbermann on McCain, Iraq, Context, and What's Important

Olbermann continues to be a powerful voice in elucidating the obvious, which is too often obfuscated by political spin, double-speak and words like obfuscate.

Damn.

"No Army Can Stop An Idea Whose Time Has Come": Ron Paul Exits the Presidential Race?

Libertarian Republican, Ron Paul, has seemingly ended his active campaign for the Republican nomination. Paul gathered with supporters in Texas tonight to "make an announcement" which apparently meant, finalizing the official campaign. Paul definitely made his mark on American politics and showed us that maybe government power isn't all its cracked up to be, on all levels. His campaign website offers a bit of thanks to his supporters and also lights the fire for future endeavors to help continue the "Revolution" against government tyranny.

Lets look back at some of the most memorable and important moments in the 2008 Ron Paul primary campaign.

Ron Paul's answer to a question about his ability to win the election, which was censored from re-broadcasts of the debate.

Ron Slams Rudy Guiliani's lack of knowledge of terrorism in the Fox South Carolina Debates

Ron Paul explains why the War on Drugs is racist and bad for minority groups in America.

Ron Paul Makes McCain look like an idiot on economics at the MSNBC Florida debates.

A Great CGI ad for Ron Paul.
